Koren and Meckler are brilliant. I have used their cookbook as a supplement in my document design class for 12 years and my students adore it.
Every graphic designer should have a copy nearby, just in case. Anytime I am stuck for layout ideas, I crack open my own copy and, within minutes, I can stark working.
