This book provides a comprehensive review of seasonal and pandemic influenza. First few chapters explain the basic concepts of influenza epidemiology and virology. Then the book moves to explain different aspects of pandemic preparedness and planning from public health management perspective (ch.9) to specific elements of pandemic planning and preparedness. The book concludes with case studies from various countries (both developed and developing) to show examples of good practices and challenges during planning and response phases. I highly recommend this book for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of public health, epidemiology, virology, and public health management.
