An old book but the original source for accurate information on Babylon. Written by Robert Koldewey who was actually there for 18 years (1899-1917), he shares detailed insights on his archeological work. Includes great maps, details of wall and room construction, and a few gorgeous color photos of animals depicted in colored brick that Koldewey reconstructed. For anyone serious about Babylon this is the one and only book. The original that all others are based on.
