I like this book for several reasons. First, the stories are accurate but condensed-short enough for a bedtime story and not compromise basic biblical teachings. Second, the moral of the story is at the end and optional-they can be skipped or read at the reader's discretion. Last, much of the old testament phases and wording is used. I can see me using this book for years to come (once I print it out) not just for the 1st grader but for middle and high schoolers needing a quick bible lesson and good sound moral reminding.
