Against Method

Portada
Verso, 1993 - 279 páginas
The third edition of this text contains a new preface, as well as Paul Feyerabend's further contributions to the philosophy of science. Feyerabend takes account both of recent debates on science and of the impact of scientific products and practices on the human community. While disavowing populism and relativism, Feyerabend continues to insist that the voice of the inexpert must be heard. Thus many environmental perils were first identified by non-experts against prevailing assumptions in the scientific community. Overall, Feyerabend reassesses scientific debates about science.
