Although moderately difficult to read, the book proved very worthwhile for a thoughtful study of the possible motives of Paul based on his audience in any oh is writings, or in Acts. The author presented thoughtful and keenly observations in the texts for consideration of Paul's motives to "be all things to all peoples" at the core of his actions. The book has a very surprising conclusion that actually explains his motives to be what is not actually apparent in a casual reading of his books, let alone what one may suspect if one has a Masters or Doctorate study in Theology or Bible. It is certainly worth reading if one wants to completely understand Paul and his various doctrines.
Jeremy Bentham would have been an interesting man to discuss Scripture with.
Another great book on the subject is "Jesus Words Only".
