Historia de los judíos argentinos

Examines the immigration, settlement, and integration of the Jews in Argentina from Spanish colonial rule to the present. Ch. 6 (pp. 179-223) deals, among other issues, with the "Semana Trágica" - the Buenos Aires pogrom of January 1919 - and with the recrudescence of antisemitism under the influence of Nazi propaganda and the Jewish community's response to it. Ch. 8 (pp. 267-303) states that the accusations against Jewish prostitution and the Migdal organization were vastly exaggerated in order to discredit the whole Jewish community as a source of moral corruption. Ch. 10 (pp. 357-390) analyzes anti-Jewish stereotypes in Argentina and their evolution in recent times.
