do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened except it die; and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body which shall be, but bare grain: it may chance of wheat or some other grain: (as for instance, it may bare tares, i. e., it may be a righteous body and of a celestial nature, or it may be a wicked body of a nature terrestrial*:) but God giveth it a body as it pleaseth him, and to every seed his own body." Thus we do not sow that body which shall be; howbeit, yet every seed shall have his own body: it will be his own body when it is given to him, according to the pleasure of the Lord; but it need not, perchance, be that body which was. Our Saviour, after his resurrection had to all appearances the same body, but it was of a different nature, having celestial properties: in like manner, as concerning the incorrigibly wicked, there may be raised up a body which is not in the same degree a perishable body:

*St. Paul expressly observes, that there are celestial and terrestrial bodies, but, saith he, "the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another;" and this under the head of the discourse concerning the resurrection from the

Acts xxiv. 24.

"But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my Fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law, and in the Prophets and have hope towards God, which they themselve also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both a the just and unjust.”

In Luke xxiv. 27, it is written, “And beginning at Moses. and all the Prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." 31. "And their eyes wer opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight: and they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to u the Scriptures?" 36. "As they thus spake, Jesus himself stool in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why ở thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet; that it is I myself, handle me and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of an honeycomb, and he took it, and did eat before them. And he said unto them, These are the words that I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning me."

In our introduction to this work, we have promised our conscientious readers a prospect of a most gratifying kind, such as has been the result of a ɓ pdw bur long and laborious, yet unwearied, application; but it is necessary that they should take the matter in their minds, not in parts, but as a whole, and not be astonished, or cast down, or afraid with any amazement, when they are informed that the object of this work is to show that, at the end of the centuries, there will be a restitution of all things, at different distances of time, during a period of days, previous to the day of the consummation of all things; and which will be found to answer to the 2300 evenings and mornings of Daniel, which "concern the daily
