reign answers, in the future reference, to the period of the standing up of Michael; and all out of these that shall turn to repentance, answering to a remnant, and to the Daughter of Zion, will be reclaimed in the course of the first 70 weeks, and preserved as the Israelites in Egypt, to the standing up of Michael at the end of 976 days, when they shall be delivered, like as of old Pharaoh pursued the people redeemed, between the seas to the cloud and tabernacle of the just; upon the border of which, as it appears, they (answering to the Assyrian) will set up their idols to be adored; at which time, according to Daniel, there shall be "a resurrection of many;" (these answer, it will seem, to the nations from the time of our Saviour, whose sins are such, that they are not covered, and which are not therefore like the thief on the cross, already in paradise, who answer to the branch of righteousness.) Daniel continues,

some to everlasting life; and some to shame and everlasting contempt," (for the abomination of desolation is now set up, which is evidently" the temptation that shall come upon all the world to try them that dwell upon the earth.")" They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." At this time it appears by the Revelations as proved by the putting together of figures †, that "a child is born and caught up unto God and to his throne,” answering to the being born again of water and the spirit, and to the "regeneration when the son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory." As thus, "a King shall reign

Isaiah saith," "The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of council and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears. But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked." scribes the glorious holy mountain, where "the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them;" and saith, that it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time (for we have just observed that there is a resurrection when Michael stands up,)" to recover the remnant of his people which shall be left from Assyria, ́and from Egypt, and from Patras, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea; and he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth," &c. And these shall be preserved in the wilderness of the world, I may say, until they are finally delivered at the end of the days. "Fear not, O land, saith

Joel, be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the figtree, and the vine do yield her strength. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you ears that the locusts* hath eaten, the cankerworm and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm; my great army + which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be sa
